The DSG is looking for master's, PhDs, MDs, DDMs, or other highly qualified individuals with advanced degrees in areas related to biomedical informatics to work in its NIH-funded research projects. Experience in computer programming and previous work in biomedical applications required. Working knowledge of biostatistics and good oral and written communication skills highly desirable.

The projects focus in the areas of consumer health informatics, natural language processing, privacy protection, safety monitoring, predictive modeling, biomarker discover and validation, and evaluation of new technologies to measure biological processes.

Research Assistant

We are looking for a Research Assistant to develop tools for computer-based clinical decision-support and knowledge management. The applicant must have experience in some of the following:

  • XML schema design and CSS
  • User interface development
  • Object-oriented modeling or Relational design

Knowledge or experience in OWL or business rules systems will be a plus.

We expect the assignment to last up to to 1 year.
